对于澳大利亚技术移民，通常申请人只知道IELTS是判断语言能力的唯一考试，其实对于医学相关职业，OET考试也是判断语言水平能力的考试之一，其中牙医职业只以OET考试作为唯一的语言能力考试而不再认可IELTS考试结果。根据澳大利亚移民法规定，医学相关职业申请人在通过OET考试后，可以直接获得20分的移民语言能力加分，且无需再参加IELTS考试。
